19th century Welsbach gas table lamp

Late 19th century Welsbach gas lamp electrified as a desk lamp. Invented by Carl Auer von Welsbach in 1888, they perfected using rare earth metals to burn much brighter and longer than conventional materials. The company still exist today as EMCOR group for electrical constructions. The globe was manufactured in Czechoslovakia. One side of the new old stock original box was saved and framed to be sent with the lamp. 28 inches in height. One G10 socket.
